Operation: Trojan Horse

Of the challenges we face today in trying to politically realign our country, gerrymandering is certainly the most difficult to overcome. The resulting lack of majority representation in more democrat leaning districts has created an environment where laws/policies no longer reflect the values of their electorate. More and more we see an unnatural shift to the right done in such a way that makes it all but impossible to reverse the trend fairly. We’ve seen an equally concerning trend of far right figures running for positions where they can have influence over election results.

To combat this, we here at the Neutral Project have decided to implement what we are calling Operation Trojan Horse. The plan is simple, in areas that have been redistricted to a Republican advantage we will help encourage Democrat/Unaffiliated voters to change their party to Republican. From there voters can participate in Primaries and help to elect more moderate candidates or eventually even run themselves. Even if the state has an open primary, having the R after your name opens lots of doors. We also encourage project members to try to get involved with any polling so they can help skew perception and through that hopefully guide policy decisions. We need to reverse course and have our own candidates run for local offices. Additionally we will help supply information and helpful guides on what to say and do at rallies and campaign events to help project members “blend in” in order to have more influence.  The ultimate goal is full party infiltration and returning control to those that are open to discussion and working towards a better tomorrow.
