What is Crimson Static?
Essentially, the goal of this operation is to strike at the heart of the disinformation that plagues our country and prevents us from having open and honest conversations about challenges facing us and the best way to meet them. We, as a nation, are prevented from engaging in any sort of meaningful dialogue about solutions to problems because almost half of us aren’t coming from a place of truth. Through Crimson Static we hope to remove grifters and “skeptics” hold on information and take from them their undeserved status as speakers of truth and wisdom.
How will we accomplish this?
This is a multi phase operation with phase one starting in May. Phase one is the foundation, where we lay the groundwork for later phases. This first phase is focused on the passive collection of intel, with a focus on building out a detailed view of the battle space. Though there will be some psychological operations involved as the phase progresses (In coordination with senior staff and our social media team), the primary goal is to identify the groups most responsible for disseminating mis/disinformation.
How can you help?
Once you sign up, you’ll be on the front lines of fighting extremist ideology. Team members are encouraged to join groups in their state on alternative platforms like Telegram, Rumble, and Truth Social. Take notes on who the admins are, their positions and how they interact with their group, collecting any identifying information if possible. Identify those that speak or post the most often in those groups. Team members will receive training on the best ways to ask questions in their groups in a way that maintains cover, while allowing team members to see how those groups handle challenges to their dogma. Screenshots of posters/flyers/events should be sent in and noted. If possible team members in those areas should attend one or two events to see what attendance looks like and how they interact with new participants. If these require on-site real-time coordination (Convoys, rallies, etc.) it’s suggested to have one person (if multiple are going) scanning through channels on a multichannel radio for frequencies used by the groups to coordinate movement. Later, phone numbers, emails, addresses, radio frequencies and even psych profiles will be input in a database to act as an internal knowledge base that Neutral Project staff can use to better enhance the effectiveness of our messaging and also as a resource for partner organizations.
